This is the first class in this
course; the teacher introduced us on Emotional Intelligence, what is it and why
it is important. The teacher also explained the difference between IQ
(Intellectual Quotient) and EQ (Emotional Quotient).
Emotional Intelligence makes a person identify their feelings and the feelings of others; it also helps the person to manage his/her emotions .Emotional Intelligence is improved by time; they change through life and can be improved by training and practicing. Intellectual Quotient measures a person’s intellectual, logical, reasonable and rational abilities. The person will be able to solve problems and pass exams if he/she has a high Intellectual Quotient.
The teacher told us that the Emotional Quotient is not fixed because it needs more training and practicing to be improved.
The teacher also said the higher the persons Intellectual Quotient, the more important his/her Emotional Quotient will be. There is a good relation between income and Emotional Quotient, people with a higher Emotional Quotient usually earns more money.
The growth of an individual’s emotional intelligence realization can start since childhood. Increasing the Emotional Intelligence during childhood will be a factor in reducing the risk of dangerous violence and will help to stop bullying, or killing at schools.
